We began as a small business of four employees, founded by Dr. S. F. Al Khayyat, with a turnover of less than $100,000 in 1982. Over the last three decades, we have transformed ourselves into a $600 million corporation with over 2,000 employees from across six continents and a portfolio of global partners and brands that consistently average an annual growth rate of more than 20%. Our family-owned business is getting ready to integrate its third generation into a professionally supported corporate structure.

    Peugeot closes fleet deals with the police department, Aramex, DHL, TNT, Orange and Royal Jordanian among many more.

  • Consumer Category Management

    AKI Consumer Division worked closely with leading key accounts on category management programs focusing on light household and stationery products. The end result was a re-alignment of the categories, range rationalization and clearer demarcation of sub categories resulting in overall category growth of between 20% and 30% following the implementation period.

  • Qatar Olympics

    Lifefitness supports the Qatar Olympic Committee by sponsoring sport equipment worth over $270,000 in aid of promoting physical fitness across Qatar.

  • UAE Health Check

    BinSina Pharmacy, in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Health, helps combat diabetes, obesity, cholesterol and blood pressure by providing checkups in all 32 pharmacy branches for AED15.

  • LifeStraw

    BinSina Pharmacy launches the LifeStraw campaign in a bid to provide third world countries with safe drinking water.

  • Pest control awareness

    Pestfree organises a public awareness lecture in Al Ain about pest control, the dangers of pests and pesticides, and promoting a clean environment.

  • Corporate recycling

    AKI switches to Ecodoc recycled paper across the board, in effect saving 45,000 kilograms of wood and 4,014,000 litres of water per year.

  • HIV Awareness

    AKI's consumer division partners with Durex as leading sponsors of a two-year HIV awareness project. In conjunction with the Ministry of Health and Dubai Police, AKI sponsored the lead seminar and distributed 70,000 leaflets across the UAE.
